SolarScape dream canopy for Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, Florida is a co-educational, private day school with innovative education for students in grades PreK-12.  As the school embarked on a major remodel with renowned architects, Zyscovich, one of the key design elements they dreamed of was a covered drop-off lane to give students, families, and staff some protection from the frequent rain and blazing sunshine of southern Florida. The team at Zyscovich worked with Lumos to design a SolarScape dream canopy to provide the shade and weatherproofing they were looking for while also meeting the extreme wind speed conditions of the area.

The powder coated, steel structure was installed by our good friends at Payoli Solar. Juan and his team were a perfect match for this project, combining serious steel erection skills with fastidious attention to every detail to deliver a world-class project. General contractors, NV2A Group, made the whole project run smoothly and meet critical timelines to minimize disruption to the school.
