The custom LSX solar carport “between the hills”
Just 15 miles north of Los Angeles, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, is “the glen between the hills”, more commonly known as La Canada, CA. This environmentally conscious community receives an average of over 320-days of sun a year and is focused on aesthetics; making it an ideal location for Lumos Solar’s design-centric LSX frameless solar panels.
When the Bushman family in La Canada, CA wanted to install a combined PV system that would include a roof mounted array and an EV charging solar carport, Newport Power took on the challenge. Newport Power, located in San Clemente, CA, is a total solutions solar provider, who designs, installs and maintains some of the most technologically advanced photovoltaic solar systems available. To compliment the owner’s Tesla, the solar carport required a custom design that would not only look as striking as the Tesla, but blend into the architecture of the home. Newport Power designed the structure and Lumos LSX frameless modules were the ideal solar solution to match the design.
